South Glens Falls - The U.S. Postal Service gave the closing of the local branch of his mark of official approval Wednesday.
The U.S. Postal Service announced in a press release from the station of South Glens Falls Post Offices will close in September. The decision to close comes after federal employees discussed the possibility and hundreds of community residents have signed petitions against the move.
The last day of the operation will be Friday, September 9.
Local Postal Service employee Dan Kuntz said the closure was a precursor of downsizing nationally.
